Shift Trade Award
The IBT/CWA Passenger Service Association won the recent arbitration addressing the staff level grievance we filed after US Airways management changed the attendance policy. The new policy claimed the company had the right to take away our negotiated rights to shift trade if we called out on a day we had picked up a shift. The arbitrator stated in his desicion attached that our contract is very clear and the company must cease this practice. Mandatory Overtime NOTE; The duty free hour mentioned in this decision was given up later in concession bargaining during bankruptcy. |
